The Umami Tsunami Lettuce Wrap
Serves 4 – 380 Calories Per Serving – 16g fat/41g carbs/18g protein
Ingredients
- 3T Liquid Aminos
- 1 T Rice Wine Vinegar
- 2 T Monk Fruit Maple Syrup
- 1 T Olive Oil
- 2 Tsp Hot Sauce
- 2 Tsp Olive OIl
- 1 Sweet Onion
- 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Tsp Ginger
- 1 Cup Red Lentils
- 2 Cups Vegetable Broth
- 1/2 Cup Walnuts
- 1 Head Butter Lettuce
- 1/2 Cup Carrots
- 4 Green Onions
- 2 T Sesame Seeds
Instructions
- Over medium heat, add olive oil and sliced onion into skillet, cooking until tender
- Add in ginger, garlic, vegetable broth, and lentils, letting simmer for 15 minutes
- Mix together liquid aminos, vinegar, maple syrup, olive oil, and hot sauce.
- Add sauce and walnuts to lentils and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Julienne carrot and dice green onion
- Assemble lettuce wrap, starting with butter lettuce, then lentil mix, then carrots and green onion, and topping with sesame seeds.
