Lickity Split Pea Lettuce Wraps

Serves 4 – 340 Calories Per Serving – 5g Fat/57g Carbs/18g Protein


  • 1 1/2 Cup Split Yellow Peas
  • 2 T Liquid Aminos
  • 1 T Rice Vinegar
  • 2 Tsp Sriracha
  • 1 T Xylitol Maple Syrup
  • 1 T Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Sweet Onion
  • 1 Tsp Ginger
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 4 Green Onions
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Head Butterhead Lettuce



  • Place peas in a medium pot, cover with twice the water, and boil for twelve minutes or until tender
  • Mix together liquid aminos, rice vinegar, sriracha, maple syrup, ginger, and garlic in a small container
  • Dice onion and green onion and place in a small skillet with olive oil, sautéing until tender
  • Using a vegetable peeler make carrot ribbons
  • Once peas are done, add into the onion skillet with the carrots and add in sauce, letting it simmer for five minutes
  • Place pea mixture in the butterhead lettuce leaves to serve
